Path of Integration

Are you interested in finding a more contented, peaceful version of yourself?

I help people transform their lives to find mental health and well-being through guidance, counsel, coaching and intuitive insight.

Life can be hard. As we move through the years, we accumulate emotional and psychological gunk (for lack of a better term) that creates havoc, personal chaos and oftentimes great despair in our internal worlds. We become dis-integrated. This makes life more difficult for us individually, and usually our closest relationships, which leaves us feeling depleted, lifeless, hopeless, lost and without confidence.

What is the path of integration?

The path of integration is simply the path back to your truest and highest expression of self. Sometimes we end up on a path in life we’d not wished for ourselves and need a little (or a lot of) help finding our way back.

When we’ve experienced a lot of pain in our lives our minds become jumbled, chaotic and easily overwhelmed. The detangling process is quite tricky and typically, we cannot see our own patterns and processes so easily. I draw on learned, intuitive, spiritual and experiential knowledge to help clients resolve issues concerning the body, mind, relationships and spirituality. This can be considered a bio-psycho-socio-spiritual approach to wholeness and well-being.

The future of mental well-being

I believe the future of mental well-being will focus on matching individuals in need with those who have experienced and overcome similar challenges. Oftentimes the individual suffers from shame and guilt simply for feeling what they’re feeling, and this exacerbates mental dis-ease and can even prevent healing. Academic knowledge is important but experiential knowledge is invaluable in guiding others through the healing process. It brings a deeper level of understanding, empathy, non-judgment, compassion and personal insight, that can be vitally important to the clients healing process.

I have experiential knowledge in overcoming, healing and dealing with the following:

  • Depression
  • Body dysmorphia
  • Loss of loved one to suicide
  • Low self-worth/self-esteem
  • Fatherless daughter syndrome
  • Divorce
  • Bereavement/Grief
  • Suicidal ideation
  • Emotional eating
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Echoism – Fear of being center of attention/burden to others
  • Alexithymia – Inability to acknowledge, name and express needs
  • Religious deconstruction
  • Major midlife transitions
  • Spiritual awakening/Dark night of the soul
See what James has to say about working together.

If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation. ~ Lao Tzu

I now understand the truth of Lao Tzu’s words. From my own first half of life, full of pain, I see now that I couldn’t show up in the world in healthy, balanced ways. I decided it was necessary to dedicate myself to my own personal transformation and eliminate (or at least greatly minimize) the darkness and negativity within.

Now I engage life in healthier ways which benefits myself and all those I come in contact with. I’m not perfect by any means, but I now live from a calm, contented existence where I’m trying to do good in the world. That wasn’t always the case and for most of my life I thought it an impossible achievement. But it’s not. I became a better me and you can become a better you!

My sincere wish

It is my sincere wish that you find this peaceful, contented existence for yourself. If I can be a guide to help you find the way back to your truest and best self, then nothing would make me happier. About Eryn

How I came to heal myself

I left the United States with a one-way ticket to India at age 36 determined to find a better version of myself. I didn’t feel right. I didn’t feel whole. I was broken, in deep despair and exhausted from the depression that consumed me for decades.

Somehow, I harnessed the courage and strength to embark on a worldwide quest for healing; I was traveling outwardly but I was really traveling inward. Over the following 28 months I immersed myself in healing traditions and practices from all corners of the globe. My experiences and transformation propelled a paradigm shift within, leading me to a completely new outlook on life. I now live from a place of purpose and meaning, and I’ve designed my entire life around fostering and maintaining mental health, both for myself and for others.

What came from this inward and outward quest was my book, Facing Freedom.

Facing Freedom

Facing Freedom takes you through the meandering cathartic trek of solo female travel over 28 months and 5 continents. You’ll read, not only about my personal journey but I also offer an integrated practice where you’ll have the opportunity to travel inwardly navigating the path towards your highest self.  Read more.

Adding the Academic Framework

After the hype of launching my book, I found myself longing to better understand my massive transformation. I had all this experiential knowledge but what did it mean? And how would I bring it forward to help others? How could I make sense of it all? I was a completely changed person, how on earth did that happen? I needed to understand this!

I enrolled in a master’s degree in Consciousness Studies, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology and am currently entering my third and final year. What a blessing it’s been to bring structure and academic knowledge to the intensive transformation I experienced. I am also a certified life coach and MARI© practitioner.

Path of Integration

Now it’s time to give back to others. I’ve been 7 long years exploring the shadow, as my favorite Carl Jung would call it. What a blessing to understand the nature of the mind more deeply and to know that I am in control of my destiny. Jung famously said, “until you make the unconscious, conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”. For anyone who struggles with depression or mental well-being I think you will resonate with that sentiment. It can feel beyond us to tackle the depths of our darkness and it’s easy to get stuck saying, this is just who I am, this is my fate. But it doesn’t have to be this way. You’re more powerful than you think.

Let’s explore together the unconscious patterns and processes that have been ruling you. After all, aren’t you the most important project in your life? If we don’t have this area of life sorted out then it impacts every other single aspect of our lives! What else could be more important than your own well-being?

If you’re ready to prioritize your own mental and emotional well-being, then step onto the path of healing. Empower yourself to turn the tides in your life.

Intention + Choice = Positive Action

Are you with me?

Yowza people, let’s do this!

In whatever path you choose, I wish you peace and harmony in mind, body and spirit. If you’ve found that, truly you’ve found everything.
